Whilst flicking through various design blogs i came across this image from The little book of shocking global facts
there has been quite alot of controversy surrounding this book. not just because of the facts but mainly because of how shocking some of the graphic art is.
Many people who visit these blogs are quick to let there feelings about the book and the designer Jonathan Barnbrook known after his designs in this book were released
On the website, it says Jonathan Barnbrook is “the world’s most respected graphic designer”. No disrespect meant, but that’s a bit of a claim isn’t it?
personally i think that this whole book fails in what is the main basic ideal of visual communication. to communicate information on a given subject. how can a designer be communicating when peolpe cant read the work?
or if the hideous work has bllinded them?
